The series “Like crumpled paper” was developed for the ECAD (Espacio Cultural Adolfo Domínguez) exhibition in Zaragoza. ECAD is an exhibition space inside the Adolfo Dominguez store; there we find the ruins of the roman city walls of Caesaraugusta from the 3rd century, elements which the artist incorporated in the conception of the exhibited works.
For this exhibition the artists prepared nine canvasses and eighteen collages. The works are the result of his study with the human figure representation trough lines and also of the chromatic study which is marked, in this exhibition, through the dominating colour of the roman ruins.
The feminine figures represented in this exhibition, represent positions and gestures which don’t belong to people’s everydayness; it’s the expression of human body as meat, feeling and abstraction.
