Life experiences and the environments that surround me become fundamental elements that feed the creation of my works. From my hometown in Brazil, through Ferrara, Pompeii in Italy, Reus, and Tarragona, to Barcelona, where I currently reside, each of these places has left a mark on my artistic interpretation. The colors and textures present in my environment blend with another fundamental element: linear representation.

In this series, I seek to represent an analysis of the urban landscape as a visual rhapsody, where textures and historical layers overlap, allowing the present to relate to the past. In today’s world, we are bombarded with a vast amount of information, making it difficult to concentrate and stay focused on what truly interests us.

Among social media, crowded transportation, and constant advertising, I consider it crucial to find moments to disconnect, pause, and breathe. Amidst this chaos, I find a moment of symbiosis with the environment, a moment to broaden my vision beyond the sidewalk in front of me. I seek that moment when we attempt to «extend time» (Joao Cabral de Melo Neto).

It is in these moments of pause that I find the inspiration to create works that capture the essence of the urban experience, conveying a sense of stillness and contemplation. Through the fusion of visual elements and lines, I aim to invite the viewer to immerse themselves in a space where time expands and the connection with the environment intensifies.

In this work, I seek to call for stopping and appreciating the beauty amidst the daily hustle, to rediscover the places we inhabit, and to find a balance between the effervescence of modern life and the serenity of artistic introspection.
